Kim represents clients in a variety of intellectual property matters.  She currently concentrates her practice on patent litigation and counseling, in addition to litigation in trademark, trade dress, and copyright matters. She has assisted clients ranging from small companies to Fortune 500 hundred companies in the litigation and enforcement of patent, trademark, and trade dress rights before federal district courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Kim has extensive litigation experience and has helped clients enforce their intellectual property rights as well as navigate and defend against infringement allegations. She has managed pre-suit investigations, conducted and guided clients through complex discovery and ESI matters, taken depositions of numerous witnesses, drafted motions, and prepared claim construction arguments.

Kim also provides counseling and opinion work for patent and trademark matters, including freedom to practice assessments, landscape studies, due diligence analyses of target company's patent portfolios, and domestic and foreign infringement investigations.

Kim graduated cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law. She was an associate editor for Northwestern University Law Review. She also gained valuable litigation experience working in the MacArthur Justice Center Civil Rights Litigation Clinic.

Prior to joining Banner Witcoff, she worked as a systems engineer for Raytheon on missile defense systems. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Valparaiso University.
