Attorneys Anna L. King, Robert S. Katz, Katie Laatsch Fink, Richard S. Stockton, Sean J. Jungles, Maurine L. Knutsson, Liz Brodzinski and Heather Smith-Carra have been appointed to serve on International Trademark Association (INTA) committees for the 2022-2023 term. Their appointments take effect on Jan. 1, 2022, and will conclude on Dec. 31, 2023.
Anna was appointed to the Famous Marks Committee. Anna concentrates her practice on trademark, unfair competition, domain name, and copyright law. She also counsels clients in protecting their trademark portfolios worldwide.
Robert and Katie were appointed to the Non-Traditional Marks Committee. Robert focuses his practice on the procurement and enforcement of design patents. He also represents clients in patent and trademark litigation, and other intellectual property matters.
Katie focuses her practice on a broad range of issues involving patents, trademarks, trade dress, copyrights and trade secrets. Katie also has significant litigation experience and actively manages the trademark portfolios for several clients.
Richard and Sean were appointed to the Designs Committee. Richard advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, including tactical and strategic counseling, portfolio management, litigation and prosecution matters. Richard was also placed on the Lefkowitz Project Team.
Sean focuses his practice on design patents, patent prosecution and trademarks. He has extensive experience in all phases of intellectual property litigation, and has helped file and litigate over 30 cases asserting trade dress and trademark rights.
Maurine was appointed to the Unreal Campaign Committee. Maurine works with clients to develop effective strategies for establishing and enforcing U.S. and global trademark rights. She also represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Liz was appointed to the Brands and Innovation Committee. Liz practices primarily in trademark, copyright, and new media matters. She has experience in U.S. and global trademark portfolio management, including clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, and in dealing with cybersquatting and online infringement matters.
Heather was appointed to the Emerging Issues Committee. Heather focuses her practice on trademark and copyright prosecution and counseling matters, as well as cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
INTA is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property. INTA committees are responsible for developing and advocating the association’s policy on various areas of the law. Committees also complete analyses and propose policy recommendations to the board.
