Banner Witcoff Adds Four New Associates in Chicago and DC Offices

Banner Witcoff, a national intellectual property law firm that procures, enforces, and litigates intellectual property rights throughout the world, welcomes four new associates* to its Chicago and Washington, DC offices.

Jake Earl, Chicago, focuses his practice on trademarks, litigation, and PTAB litigation. Before law school, Jake worked as an engineer developing new medical devices. Jake attended Chicago-Kent College of Law as an Honors Scholar and graduated magna cum laude. While at Chicago-Kent, Jake served as an Executive Articles Editor of the Law Review, served as the Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Jake earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Joe McCollum, Chicago, concentrates primarily on patent and trademark litigation matters. Joe also has patent prosecution experience in computer hardware and software.  Joe graduated from the College of Law at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was an associate editor of the University of Illinois Law Review and secretary of the Intellectual Property Society.

Joe earned his B.S. in computer engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

John Peloquin, DC, concentrates on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications across a variety of technologies, specializing in electrical devices, digital communications, and computer software. Before law school, John gained experience in fields spanning from semiconductors and nanotechnology to laser devices and design through his background in electrical engineering. John earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the George Washington University School of Law.

John earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Elizabeth Rielley, DC, focuses on patent prosecution and litigation in various physics and electrical engineering fields, including semiconductors, nanotechnology, electrical and solar cells, optical systems, and materials science. Elizabeth received her Juris Doctor degree at Washburn University School of Law.

Elizabeth earned her B.S. and M.S. in physics from The Catholic University of America.

*All our new associates have passed their bar exams and are waiting for admission to the bar.
