Joe maintains a diverse intellectual property practice, focusing primarily on patent and trademark litigation matters. Joe also has patent prosecution experience in the fields of computer hardware and software.
Prior to joining Banner Witcoff, Joe worked as a software engineer at an industrial automation software company. He also worked at a small IP law firm in Chicago, performing trademark search reports for various trademark applications. Joe leverages his prior experiences to better understand clients’ business objectives.
Joe attended the University of Illinois College of law where he graduated with honors and studied a variety of intellectual property topics. During his time in law school, Joe served as an associate editor of the University of Illinois Law Review and as secretary of the Intellectual Property Society. Additionally, Joe participated in the Jerome Mirza Trial Academy where he developed and honed effective trial advocacy skills.
