Elizabeth focuses her practice on patent prosecution and client counseling. Elizabeth's experience includes preparation and prosecution of patents in the mechanical and computer arts. In addition, she has experience in prosecuting patents in the electrical and business method technologies and has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of design patents. Elizabeth also has experience in patent litigation and was part of a litigation team that successfully represented a major toothbrush manufacturer in a matter that included both utility and design patents.
Elizabeth’s client representations range from individual inventors to Fortune 500 companies in various industries, such as financial services, insurance, footwear, apparel, and clean energy technologies. Her practice includes counseling and prosecution both in the U.S. and internationally.
In addition to her law firm experience, Elizabeth has served as in-house counsel, providing IP expertise to an architecture and engineering firm.
Prior to earning her J.D., Elizabeth worked as a process engineer for Praxair, Inc. She performed efficiency monitoring and provided engineering support for several air separation plants. In addition, Elizabeth worked in the Quality Implementation Group at Praxair where she assisted in developing quality policies implementing Food and Drug Administration guidelines for the medical gases industry and provided training on various quality policies to all levels of the Operations Organization.
Elizabeth earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated cum laude from SUNY University at Buffalo Law School.
