AJ enjoys working on a variety of intellectual property matters including a diversified practice within patent litigation.
Before joining Banner Witcoff, AJ worked as an associate at a Chicago-based intellectual property boutique. There, his representative technologies encompassed a wide range of pharmaceutical technologies, as well as artificial turf underlayment systems. AJ assisted with multiple district court patent litigations, including preparing for both a bench and jury trial, as well as multiple inter partes review proceedings and appeals in the Federal Circuit.
AJ earned his law degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, graduating cum laude, where he served as Executive Editor for the Journal of Technology & Intellectual Property. AJ externed in Northwestern’s Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center, where he supported start-up clients with various business and intellectual property counseling, including with multiple trademark registrations with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. AJ also served as the Director of Mentorship for the Intellectual Property Law Society, and the Vice President of Social Affairs for the Jewish Law Student Association. In his first year in law school, AJ attended Chicago-Kent College of Law as a Kent Legal Scholar and received a CALI award for earning the highest grade in Legal Writing I, Legal Writing II, and Criminal Law.
