Attorneys Katie Laatsch Fink, Robert S. Katz and Liz Brodzinski have been appointed to serve on International Trademark Association (INTA) committees for the 2020-2021 term. Their appointments take effect Jan. 1, 2020 and will conclude Dec. 31, 2021.
Katie was appointed to the Non-Traditional Marks Committee. She focuses her practice on a broad range of issues involving patents, trademarks, trade dress, copyrights and trade secrets. Based in Banner Witcoff’s Chicago office, Katie also has significant litigation experience and actively manages the trademark portfolios for several clients.
Rob was appointed to serve as a member of the Design Committee, which he led as chair for the 2019-2020 term. Considered one of the premier practitioners in the field of industrial designs, Rob focuses his practice on the procurement and enforcement of design patents. He also represents clients in patent and trademark litigation, and other intellectual property matters. He is based in Washington, D.C.
Liz was appointed to the Internet Committee. Based in the firm’s Chicago office, she practices primarily in trademark, copyright, and new media matters. Liz has experience in U.S. and global trademark portfolio management, including clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, and in dealing with cybersquatting and online infringement matters
INTA is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property. INTA committees are responsible for developing and advocating the association’s policy on various areas of the law. Among other tasks, committees complete analyses and propose policy recommendations to the board.
