Lydia Deaton

Lydia works on a variety of intellectual property matters. She focuses her practice on helping clients grow and strengthen their intellectual property portfolios by securing protection for software and electrical innovations. Her technical background includes experience in semiconductor and printed circuit board design as well as consumer devices. Through this background she works to understand the technology behind her clients’ invention.

Lydia attended University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, where she served as a staff editor of the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Law and as a member of the moot court board. She also served as a judicial extern for the Fayette County District Court. 

Prior to law school, Lydia gained experience in electrical engineering through her internships at two fortune 500 companies where she developed knowledge in semiconductors, printed circuit boards, and consumer devices.
