On Wednesday, October 23, Banner Witcoff co-hosted Design Law 2024 with law firm Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox. Celebrating its tenth year, the event followed the theme “The Article of Manufacture” and focused on key topics such as the LKQ decision and AI-driven design generation. The event was led by Sterne Kessler’s Tracy Durkin and Banner Witcoff’s Robert Katz.
Judge Pauline Newman delivered the keynote address, discussing the evolution of design law since the establishment of the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. She shared her insights on the significant changes in design law following the recent LKQ decision, encouraging attendees to consider the technological advancements shaping the future of design law.
Banner Witcoff’s Josh Davenport, Katie Laatsch Fink, Sean Jungels, and Richard Stockton also presented during the event:
