Banner Witcoff attorney Robert S. Katz will moderate a panel at the 18th Open Forum of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI), set to take place from Oct. 9-12 in Vienna, Austria.
Rob will moderate an Oct. 10 session exploring the protection of product configurations in the current climate. Rob and the panelists — Michael Conway, partner at Haseltine Lake; Shirley Fu of Sanyou IP Group; and Jaime Lemons, vice president of trademark and design at NIKE — will discuss the requirements to obtain product configuration trademark rights in various jurisdictions, as well as challenges and tips to acquiring these rights.
Rob is vice president of FICPI’s U.S. Section and serves as liaison to FICPI for the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law.
