Simon C. Lasker

Simon represents clients in a variety of intellectual property matters focusing on patent prosecution and counseling. Simon has assisted clients in prosecuting patents in a range of technical fields, including mechanical, mechatronic, aerospace and computer science.

Simon earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. As a Student Attorney in law school, Simon represented clients in diverse matters of intellectual property law. Simon prosecuted patents and trademarks and counseled clients on patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law. Simon also served as Articles Editor on the Journal of Business & Technology Law.

Before law school, Simon worked as an engineering technician for a team of manufacturing engineers. He assisted in designing and implementing the automation of numerous manufacturing processes, utilizing and interfacing robotics and imaging.  Along the way, Simon gained invaluable, practical industry knowledge that help his clients realize their goals.
