Mary enjoys working on a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent litigation and patent prosecution.
Mary began her career as a mechanical engineer at a multinational healthcare company. She gained valuable industry insight into the research and development process by designing and testing electromechanical hardware systems for different medical devices. Additionally, she is named as an inventor on one pending patent.
Mary attended Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she completed a Certificate Program in Intellectual Property Law. While at Chicago-Kent, Mary served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property and received CALI awards for achieving the highest grades in her Legal Writing I, Legal Writing III, Legal Writing IV, and Patent Law courses.
Prior to joining Banner Witcoff, Mary clerked part-time at a small patent law firm in Michigan, where she concentrated on preparing and prosecuting patent applications. She started working at Banner Witcoff during the summer before her third year of law school and has continued on as an associate after graduation.
