Banner & Witcoff shareholder Joseph M. Potenza was recently honored by the Washingtonian as one of its “Best Lawyers.” He joins 1,000 other attorneys across 30 practice areas who were deemed the “best legal minds” in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

The list, which appeared in the publication’s December 2013 issue, includes attorneys who were chosen based on a survey of thousands of local members of the American Bar Association, as well as through peer recommendations and additional research.

Mr. Potenza concentrates in litigation, Section 337 investigations at the United States International Trade Commission, licensing, counseling on patent and copyright matters, and the preparation and prosecution of patent and copyright applications. He recently served as the chair of the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law. He was also recognized by Chambers USA, Managing Intellectual Property, Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America in 2013.
