Patent Trial Advocacy Casebook, Second Edition is published by the American Bar Association (ABA), and is based on the authors’ decade of experience teaching an advanced course in trial practice geared specifically to a patent infringement trial. This material had it’s genesis in a project for the ABA and National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) as a program for practicing lawyers. The material has been continually refined specifically for undergraduate students at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. The authors have now taught the course to more a than one hundred undergraduate law students in small classes. Every aspect of these materials is focused on improving students’ proficiency in one event: the trial of a patent case.
