The recent July 4th issuances by the USPTO brings the running total of design patents procured by Banner & Witcoff on behalf of its clients to 295 this year –with nearly six months left. This number breaks the record for the highest number of design patents procured by a firm for its clients in a calendar year, set in 2004 by Banner & Witcoff with 292 design patents. That record had supplanted the previous record of 276 design patent, also set by B&W.
