Banner Witcoff is Proud to Announce That Robert Katz Has Been Selected for Two FICPI Leadership Roles

Starting in 2023, Robert Katz is now serving in two leadership roles for FIPCI: President of the US Chapter of FICPI and Vice President of the FICPI CET Committee.

Commenting on his appointment to president of the section, Rob said, “FICPI represents a critical constituency within the international IP industry. Since 1906, the organization has been dedicated to strengthening the practice of independent IP attorneys. I look forward to continuing to strengthen this organization, and am thrilled to have this opportunity.”  As president of the U.S. section of FICPI, Rob intends to work to increase the US membership in FICPI and promote the benefits of the organization.

Rob has also been named a Vice Present of FICPI’s CET Committee Study & Work Committee (Commission d’Etude et Travail).  The CET Committee is FICPI’s Study & Work Committee and is the largest committee in the organization with over 200 members and eight specialized groups. The CET Committee works to create high-quality opinions and cultivate discussions of the trending topics in intellectual property and jointly leads FICPI’s substantive work to improve the IP system.  Rob said, he is “honored to serve in this leadership role as well and help to move important IP issues to the forefront and formulate opinions on these issues.”

About FICPI

FICPI is the only international non-governmental organization whose membership consists entirely of intellectual property attorneys in private practice advocating common solutions and advocacy for private IP practitioners. FICPI promotes the benefits of the value of independent IP attorneys, who bring insights and counsel from a wider external perspective and a commitment to high quality work.
