Grace Beach, Kyler Kappes, Greta Zimmerman, and Elizabeth Yang are the latest additions to our team.
Grace Beach, Chicago, focuses on multiple intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark litigation and patent prosecution. Grace began her career as a process improvement engineer at a multinational medical diagnostics company, where she gained valuable experience in implementing robotic and electromechanical conveyer and packaging systems for supply chain distribution. Grace received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and she received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Kyler Kappes, Chicago, focuses on a variety of intellectual property matters, including IP litigation and patent prosecution. During his undergraduate years at Purdue University, Kyler gained valuable experience by writing code and assisting with printed circuit board (PCB) design for a small-scale satellite research project. Kyler graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he completed a Certificate Program in Intellectual Property Law. While at Chicago-Kent, Kyler competed in the Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court competition.
Greta Zimmerman, Chicago, works on a variety of intellectual property matters, including IP litigation and patent prosecution. Greta received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. She received her J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she completed the intellectual property law concentration and spent three semesters working in the law school’s Intellectual Property Law Clinic. There, she advised clients on IP and business strategy, conducted prior art searches, and drafted a provisional patent application.
Elizabeth Yang, DC, concentrates her practice on intellectual property law with a focus on patent prosecution, litigation, and counseling. Before joining Banner Witcoff, Eliza served as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where she examined applications covering computerized vehicle controls, robotics, wave-based communication, and nuclear systems. Eliza received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and she received her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
All four new associates have passed the bar exam and are waiting for admission to the bar.
