Greta Zimmerman

Greta graduated from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she completed the intellectual property law concentration and spent three semesters working in the law school’s Intellectual Property Law Clinic. There, she advised clients on IP and business strategy, conducted prior art searches, and drafted a provisional patent application.

After graduating from Villanova University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Greta worked as a patent engineer intern at Banner Witcoff, assisting with patent preparation and prosecution matters involving a variety of electrical and software technologies. Prior to law school, she also interned with PPL Electric Utilities, where she worked on projects involving electrical substations and power infrastructure.

Greta returned to Banner Witcoff as a summer associate following both her first and second years of law school before joining the firm as an associate after graduation. She is a member of the firm’s diversity committee and has previously served as a mentor to a summer associate.

Outside the office, Greta serves as a tutor for students in the Chicago area and as an alumni mentor for Villanova electrical engineering students, helping them navigate academic and professional opportunities. She enjoys watching and playing tennis and is an avid Villanova basketball fan, particularly during March Madness.
