Banner Witcoff is pleased to announce that six attorneys have been elected as shareholders of the firm, effective immediately. They are based in the firm’s Chicago and Washington, D.C., offices.

The new class of shareholders includes:
- Robert Boyd (principal shareholder, Chicago) focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling matters. He has experience preparing and prosecuting United States and international patents, as well as counseling on such issues as freedom-to-practice, infringement and validity.
- Evi Christou (shareholder, Washington D.C.) focuses her practice on counseling clients on U.S. and international trademark portfolio management, including clearance and filing strategies and protecting valuable brands by initiating and defending opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Josh Davenport (principal shareholder, Washington D.C.) represents clients in a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, litigation, and counseling. As an electrical engineer with expertise in embedded systems and digital communication systems, his practice focuses on applying the law to complex technical issues.
- Camille Sauer (principal shareholder, Washington D.C.) represents clients in all facets of technology protection and commercialization, focusing on utility and design patent procurement and intellectual property counseling. Her practice encompasses a wide range of technologies, including mechanical and electrical devices, consumer products, renewable energy technology, aerospace systems, medical devices and business methods.
- Kirk Sigmon (principal shareholder, Washington D.C.) has experience in both the U.S. and in Asia as well as expertise with Fortune 500 companies and startups, which provides the know-how for clients at all stages of invention, patent prosecution, intellectual property enforcement, and litigation.
- Heather Smith-Carra (shareholder, Washington D.C.) works with clients around the world to manage, protect, and enforce their trademark, copyright and trade dress rights. She focuses her practice on trademark and copyright prosecution and counseling matters, as well as cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
