Banner Witcoff attorney Rob Katz will speak at the University of Dayton School of Law’s annual Program In Law and Technology (PILT) seminar on June 11.
The virutal seminar, “Exploring the Future of Cyber Technology and Intellectual Property Innovation,” will touch on a variety of topics ranging from diversity and ethics to patent filing strategies and data privacy.
Rob will present the plenary session with Kenneth B. Germain, senior counsel at Wood Herron & Evans LLP. They will debate whether the Constitution permits dual protection under design patent and trade dress for the same subject matter. Rob will take the position that coexistence is allowable and appropriate.
