Banner Witcoff attorney Azuka Dike has been selected to participate in the 2020 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). Banner Witcoff is a member law firm of the LCLD, a national organization made up of corporate counsel and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.
Launched in 2011, the Fellows Program promotes the development of talented attorneys from diverse backgrounds and prepares them for leadership positions. As a fellow, Azuka will participate in a yearlong professional development series that includes various leadership, mentoring, networking and training sessions.
“Already recognized as high achievers within their own organizations, the Fellows will experience a year of multifaceted professional development,” LCLD President Robert Grey said in a news release. “Our Fellows Program is unique in the nation, as it focuses on equipping participants with the advanced skills they need to play larger and more responsible roles in our Member organizations.”
At Banner Witcoff, Azuka focuses his practice on a range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent infringement litigation, patent prosecution, patent monetization, and opinion counseling. He is chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and a member of the Recruiting Committee.
Outside of Banner Witcoff, Azuka serves as liaison to the American Bar Association (ABA) Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession and as vice chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law.
In 2019, the ABA Young Lawyers Division recognized Azuka as a “On the Rise – Top Young Lawyer.” He was also named to Crain’s 2018 Notable Minority Lawyers list.
