World Intellectual Property Review (WIPR) quotes Banner Witcoff’s Richard Stockton in a recent article outlining the final provisions of the international Riyadh Design Law Treaty, which, after 20 years of debate and two weeks of final negotiations in Saudi Arabia, were agreed upon in November.
Stockton attended the negotiations as chair of the INTA Designs Education and Resources Subcommittee. He shared his insights with WIPR stating, “The treaty addresses caveats and traps for the unwary that exist in the present status quo of industrial design application procedures worldwide.”
