Scott Kelly to Lead Session on Patent Developments at Virginia Intellectual Property Legal Institute

Banner Witcoff attorney Scott M. Kelly will speak at the 21st Annual Virginia Intellectual Property Legal Institute on Oct. 9.

Scott will lead a session examining the latest developments in a variety of topics related to patents, including patentable subject matter, collateral estoppel, prior art, attorney fees, Federal Circuit appeals, shifts at the PTAB, and Arthrex‘s impact on inter partes review and ex parte re-exam decisions.

Now in its 21st year, the Virginia Intellectual Property Legal Institute provides attendees with updates on important legal developments in IP law over the past year. The day-long program is designed for attorneys practicing in the fields of intellectual property, technology, computer and Internet law, outsourcing, e-commerce, and software licensing, development, distribution, and procurement.
