Shambhavi focuses her practice on a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, post-grant proceedings, and patent litigation. She has experience handling technology related to integrated circuits, cloud computing, user interfaces, telecommunications, business methods, software, and signal processing.
Prior to joining the firm, Shambhavi was a patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She examined applications related to simulation and modeling of various technologies, including integrated circuits, software, graphical user interfaces, virtual/augmented reality, mechanical systems, vehicular systems, petroleum engineering systems, computational fluid dynamics, aeronautical systems, CAD systems, and nuclear systems. Shambhavi was awarded the Department of Commerce Bronze Medal award for Superior Federal Service in recognition of her work as a Primary Patent Examiner in 2012.
In 2019, Shambhavi was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Washington, D.C. Rising Star for her work in intellectual property law. The Rising Stars list represents the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state. Shambhavi was also recognized in the PTAB Association’s 2021 Top 50 Women in PTAB Trials list.
Shambhavi received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School and earned a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
