Robert focuses his practice primarily on patent prosecution and counseling matters. He has experience preparing and prosecuting United States and international patents, as well as counseling on such issues as freedom-to-practice, infringement, and validity.
Having over 20 years of product development experience ranging from consumer goods to military equipment, Robert leverages this experience to understand the client’s business needs and then assist them through the patent prosecution process before the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office. Robert has prosecuted patent applications in many different industries and technologies, such as athletic equipment, footwear, control systems, transportation structures, and manufacturing methods.
Prior to joining Banner Witcoff, Robert was as an engineering manager who led a team of engineers, technical specialists, and outside consultants tasked with developing innovative athletic equipment. In his different product development roles, he has worked closely with overseas factories and utilized additive manufacturing technology to reduce development timelines. Robert has also worked as a project engineer on products such as golf clubs, electronics enclosures, and airframes.
