The American Bar Association (ABA) appointed Banner Witcoff attorney Darrell G. Mottley chair of its Standing Committee on International Trade in Legal Services for the 2020-2021 term. His one-year term will commence with the adjournment of the 2020 Annual Meeting on August 4, 2020.
The Standing Committee, according to the ABA’s website, “monitors ongoing trade negotiations and other initiatives that impact trade in legal services; informs and educates ABA members and state regulators about legal services trade issues and their implications for the regulation and practice of law in the U.S. and abroad; and regularly communicates with Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the Department of Commerce regarding legal services.”
Darrell was appointed a member of the Standing Committee last year. He has served in a number of leadership roles for several organizations, including as past president of the D.C. Bar.
