Banner Witcoff’s Chris Glembocki has been invited to serve as vice chair of the Harmonization Committee for the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). The Harmonization Committee is appointed by AIPLA’s Board of Directors to support the US effort to harmonize the world’s utility patent systems.
The harmonization efforts include both substantive changes as well as procedural changes. The Harmonization Committee interfaces directly with the USPTO and with industry groups from Japan, Europe, China, and Korea.
