According to Juristat, firms were evaluated on three key metrics:
- The number of design patent applications filed,
- The allowance rate, and
- The average number of office actions before allowance.
Juristat awarded Banner Witcoff the top design firm ranking. The analysis by Juristat also revealed that Banner Witcoff was the leader in each of the three metrics listed above.
Juristat is a software company that utilizes USPTO data to analyze patent examiners’ past behaviors, allowing attorneys to more accurately predict their future behaviors. Juristat’s statistical modeling capabilities allows users to visualize their chance of success in every aspect of the patent application process. The analysis for this study was conducted in February of this year.
