For the third year in a row, Banner Witcoff attorneys and staff came together to assemble 800 stockings for Soldiers’ Angels Holiday Stockings for Heroes. Last year, the firm donated 500 stockings to the charity.
The stockings will be sent to hospitalized veterans staying in VA medical centers over the holidays. The firm’s Veterans and Women’s Alliance groups partnered to host the event. Attorneys and staff filled the stockings with items such as gloves, socks, snacks, cookies, puzzle books, and homemade cards.
Matt May, head of the Banner Witcoff Veterans Alliance group, notes that “The holiday season is sometimes a difficult time for service members. Receiving one of these stockings is an easy way to brighten their holidays.”
Soldiers’ Angels Holiday Stockings for Heroes coordinates with people and companies across the nation to send stuffed holiday stockings to deployed service members or veterans in VA hospitals. This year, the Soldiers’ Angel’s donation goal was 40,000.
