Aseet Patel presents at the USPTO Software Partnership Roundtable in Silicon Valley

Mr. Patel presents at the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Software Partnership Silicon Valley Roundtable at Stanford University. Mr. Patel’s presentation provided practice pointers for in-house counsel and patent practitioners involved with software patenting, as well as suggestions for U.S. patent examiners.

The USPTO and the software community formed the Software Partnership to enhance the quality of software-related patents. The USPTO kicked off the new partnership with the Silicon Valley Roundtable, inviting Mr. Patel and other presenters to discuss topics such as establishing boundaries for claims that use functional language and preparation of patent applications by employing certain claiming techniques.
