IPO Appoints Mercedes Meyer and Kirk Sigmon to Serve on Committees

Attorneys Mercedes Meyer and Kirk Sigmon have been elected to serve on Intellectual Property Owner Association (IPO) committees for the 2026 calendar year.

Mercedes will serve as Vice Chair of the Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Issues Committee. The committee will advise the IPO Board of Directors regarding legislative changes, patent office policies, regulatory issues and judicial decisions affecting the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, both in the U.S. and internationally. Mercedes is also a member of the IPO Education Foundation Board of Directors.

Kirk will serve as Vice Chair of the Anti-Counterfeiting & Anti-Piracy Committee. The committee will focus on educating IPO members, practitioners, and other stakeholders regarding the costs of counterfeiting, and developing policies and proactive measure to support key issues in global anti-counterfeiting.
