Shareholder Kirk Sigmon will be speaking on Artificial Intelligence (“AI”), Machine Learning (“ML”), and the overall use of those tools in legal practice at the 2024 Global Legal Association Conference in Bangkok, Thailand. Kirk’s talk will focus on the growing issue of hallucinations in generative AI and strategies for evaluating the cost and benefits of AI model implementations as compared to existing business processes.
Kirk is a frequent lecturer in Thailand: he’s lectured at various Thai legal conferences and at Chulalongkorn University regarding international patent prosecution, AI/ML, global patent litigation, cybersecurity, agronomics, and similar topics. Kirk also routinely writes and lectures regarding AI: Kirk is the author of numerous LexisNexis guides on the topic of AI/ML in the patent and copyright domains, has lectured across the world regarding AI/ML intellectual property, and has written well over a hundred different AI-related patent applications.
