Banner Witcoff’s Josh Davenport will present the rapid advances in AI techniques for drafting and problem-solving at the Corporate IP Roundtable webinar on Tuesday, April 25.
The program titled, “AI-Assisted Drafting in IP: Examining Prosecution in the Post-ChatGPT World,” will focus on practical applications for this new form of AI drafting, including areas where an AI drafting tool can assist patent practitioners in preparing work products and areas that fall short. As part of the discussion, we will present some real‐world examples of AI-assisted drafting capabilities and shortfalls. Josh will also examine:
- Legal and ethical issues that arise when using AI tools
- Long-term practitioner pitfalls from AI tools
- Potential for providing inaccurate descriptions, and
- Concerns regarding the use of material drafted by an AI-based entirely on known information
