Banner Witcoff attorneys and staff got together to gear up for the holidays by stuffing 500 stockings for Soldiers’ Angels Holiday Stockings for Heroes. The 500 stockings will be distributed to hospitalized veterans who will be staying in VA medical centers over the holidays. The firm’s Veteran’s and Women’s Alliance groups partnered together to host the event. Attorneys and staff filled the stockings with gloves, socks, snacks, cookies, puzzle books, and homemade cards.
“Receiving stockings filled with small gifts and homemade personal cards always means so much to service members currently deployed and veterans in VA hospitals,” said Matt May, head of the Banner Witcoff Veteran’s Alliance group and retired Army Reservist. “The holiday season can be a challenging time for service members, being away from family and friends, and receiving a care package can help brighten their holidays.”
Soldiers’ Angels Holiday Stockings for Heroes coordinates with people and companies across the nation to send stuffed holiday stockings to deployed service members or veterans in VA hospitals. This year, the Soldiers’ Angel’s donation goal was 40,000.
