Banner Witcoff’s Corporate IP Roundtable programs will host a Feb. 9 webinar to explore a variety of issues related to open source software.
Speakers will include Nicholas Georgiton, director and senior corporate counsel at Trustwave; and Colin Wright, senior in-house attorney, IP & Technology, at Landis+Gyr. Banner Witcoff attorney Ross Dannenberg will moderate.
The webinar will examine issues raised when using and incorporating open source software, as well as other factors companies should consider when it comes to employees contributing to open source software projects.
The webinar, “Open Source Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Open IP,” will take place at noon CST on Feb. 9. One MCLE credit is pending. Attendees must register in advance. Click here to register.
Banner Witcoff launched the North Shore Corporate IP Roundtable program in 2017 to provide educational and networking opportunities for in-house corporate counsel in the Chicago metropolitan area. Due to its success, the firm expanded the initiative to a second location in Chicago’s west suburbs and is now rolling out the program in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. All programs are currently being held remotely.
