Banner Witcoff is sponsoring the Chicago Debates’ 9th Annual Make Room for Debate Virtual Luncheon on Sept. 15.
Chicago Debates is the largest urban policy debate league in the country, serving high school and middle school students from a variety of schools with different racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The debate program aims to give students confidence, prepare them for college and beyond, and inspire them to be leaders in their community.
The virtual program will honor Ed Wehmer, founder and CEO of Wintrust Bank N.A., and feature a fireside chat with him and Sherly Chavarria, Chicago Public School’s (CPS) Chief of Teaching & Learning. The program will also include special messages from Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and CPS’ CEO Janice Jackson, as well Chicago Debates students and alumni.
More information about the organization and luncheon can be found on Chicago Debates’ website.
