Robert S. Katz presents “Design Patent Prosecution at USPTO and EUIPO” at the Transnational IP Seminar at the University of Alicante in Alicante, Spain. The Transnational IP Seminar is an annual international event presented in English which takes place in a different country every year.

The 2016 Seminar is presented jointly in Spain with the University of Alicante Intellectual Property & Information Technology Project (UAIPIT) and the Center for Advanced Study and Research on Intellectual Property (CASRIP), the University of Washington, the Queen Mary University, the London School of Law, the Technical University of Dresden, the Roma Tre University and the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI).

This event will bring together European and American judges, professionals, professors and 50 master’s degree students from universities of various countries including Germany, China, Spain, USA, France, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. These students have been selected to participate in this seminar.

During the Transnational IP Seminar these students will attend the presentations and will be trained by several mentors in order to defend an IP case in a Mock Trial before our invited participant judges at the OHIM on March 24, 2016. They will also participate in a Mock Mediation.
