Delphi Technologies, Inc. v. Microchip Technology Inc.

Delphi Technologies, Inc. v. Microchip Technology Inc. Nos. IPR2017-00861, IPR2017-00864 and IPR2017-00970, at the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Banner & Witcoff represents Delphi Technologies in three inter partes reviews filed against three patents of Microchip Technology in February 2017. The patented technology relates to computer bus technologies, more specifically, computer-peripheral communication technologies, and even more specifically, Universal Serial Bus (USB) technologies.

The lawyers involved in the IPRs also represent Delphi Automotive Systems LLC, the world’s largest maker of automotive components, modules and integrated systems, including especially electronic safety and infotainment systems. The representation includes litigation in U.S. courts, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, where Microchip is asserting patent infringement against Delphi entities.
