Liz Brodzinski practices primarily in trademark, copyright, and new media matters.
She has experience in U.S. and global trademark portfolio management, including clearance, prosecution, and enforcement. In the course of counseling clients on worldwide brand management, Liz enjoys creating unique prosecution and enforcement strategies specific to each client’s needs.
Liz takes a particular interest in Internet governance and the impact that various changes in the online landscape will have on her clients. She is experienced in dealing with cybersquatting and online infringement matters, including preparing successful social media takedowns, achieving transfer of infringing domain names pursuant to the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and participating in disputes involving the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA).
She currently serves as a member of the Internet Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the New gTLD Subsequent Procedures PDP Working Group of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). She is also a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC), Chicago Women in IP (ChiWIP), and the American Bar Association (ABA).
