Ken Smolik concentrates on patent preparation and prosecution in the area of telecommunications. He has over 30 years experience in complex telecommunications technologies.
Ken has been involved in wireless technologies spanning base stations, as well as the wireless infrastructure including hardware design, prototype development of FDMA wireless systems, and systems engineering of CDMA wireless systems. He has worked as a development engineer and a systems engineer, writing patent applications in the area of telecommunications.
Ken has been awarded several patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including the following:

Ken co-authored Applications of CDMA in Wireless/Personal Communications published by Prentice-Hall. He is a registered agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, a registered professional engineer (New Jersey), a member of the ECE Advisory Board (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), a Senior Member of Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers and a member of Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, and Sigma Xi. He has also served as Adjunct Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology since 1996.
Ken received a B.S., with highest honors, and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. In 1981, he received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
