Eunice has more than eight years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of computer and electrical technologies, including image processing methods and devices, machine learning, database management, graphical user interfaces, financial technology, semiconductor devices and their fabrication, consumer electronics, automotive equipment, and medical devices.
She is experienced in intellectual property portfolio management and development, and rendering legal opinions with respect to patentability, validity, and freedom-to-operate. She also provides litigation support and has been involved in inter partes reviews.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Eunice was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. There, she examined applications related to data processing, including speech signal processing, linguistics, and audio compression. Before joining Banner Witcoff, Eunice practiced at a boutique intellectual property firm in New York City, where she worked on prosecution matters.
Eunice earned her B.S., with university honors, in electrical and computer engineering, with a minor in business administration, from Carnegie Mellon University, and her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
Eunice is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Practice in the District of Columbia is limited to matters and proceedings before federal courts and agencies.
