Adam R. Banes
Adam Banes focuses his practice on the representation of high-technology clients in connection with strategic patent counseling and prosecution. His technical experience includes a wide range of electrical, software, and mechanical technologies.
Mr. Banes previously served as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). While at the USPTO, he examined data processing and software development technologies. Particularly, he examined software project management, modeling, code generation, editing, component management, programming languages, software debugging, compiling, optimization, linking, updating and installation.
Prior to joining the USPTO, Mr. Banes served as a patent agent at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. In this capacity, his practice focused on patent prosecution and patent litigation support.
Mr. Banes earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2012 and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2006.
