03.12.15 | Charles W. Shifley presents “Back of the House – Appeals through Judges’ Eyes” at the Chicago-Kent College of Law

Charles W. Shifley, co-chair of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago Amicus Committee, presents “Back of the House – Appeals through Judges’ Eyes” on March 12, 2015, at the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

The program, sponsored by the IPLAC Amicus Committee and the Richard Linn American Inn of Court, will provide guidance on how appellate court judges view appeals in IP law at various stages, including during review of appellate briefs, oral argument, and post-oral argument processes leading up to written decisions.

The panel will include Judges Richard Linn and Raymond Chen of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Judge Margaret Stanton McBride of the Illinois Appellate Court. The moderators are Judge Matthew Kennelly of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Marron Mahoney, former law clerk to Judge Sharon Prost of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
