Banner & Witcoff attorneys Aseet Patel and Bradley J. Van Pelt join Peter Nguyen, Corporate and Patent Counsel for SC Johnson & Son, and Lisa McIntye, Patent Counsel for Google to present “The Total User Experience: Improving the Content and Quality of Your Company’s Patent Application Process Post-AIA” at the 2014 Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) US Patent Forum.

The panel will

  • Explain how to perfect the invention disclosure process to best protect/mine the core of the user experience post-AIA;
  • Explore the ways to speed up the filing/patenting process in light of the new first-to-file system of the AIA; and,
  • Discuss what additional details must be captured during the invention disclosure process.

Michelle Lee, Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director, US Patent & Trademark Office will deliver the conference keynote address immediately preceding this panel.

The 2014 MIP US Patent Forum will be held March 25 at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC.
