Two Banner Witcoff attorneys have been named to leadership roles for the Illinois Intellectual Property Alliance (ILIPA), a newly-formed organization dedicated to facilitating the creation, protection and enablement of intellectual property in the Midwest.
Matt May is the organization’s treasurer and on the Executive Committee, and Aseet Patel sits on the Board of Directors. Aseet is also co-chair of the group’s membership committee and previously served on the Board of the Chicago IP Alliance, which merged into the newly-formed ILIPA.
A founding chapter to the United States Intellectual Property Alliance, the ILIPA serves as a connecting hub to encourage innovation for the economic and social well-being of Illinois citizens. The group also to supports programs that improve the education and awareness of intellectual property like the Chicago Science Fair, Girls4Science, and various mentoring programs.
